1980 – Who we were

  • A small group of newly qualified interpreters, enthusiastically entering a field of which few in Cyprus had heard, and even fewer had any real knowledge. Timidly but keenly testing the ground in the early days of conference interpreting in Cyprus

2008 – Who we are

  • A professional group of highly specialised and experienced interpreters covering a 12 languages and a broad range of subjects
  • Holders of degrees and postgraduate qualifications in languages, translation and interpreting from the Universities of Cyprus, Ionion, Toulouse, Strasbourg, Paris, Amsterdam, Salford UK.
  • Accredited interpreters of the European Parliament, Commission and Court of Justice
  • Official interpreters at the 2004 Athens Olympics
  • Permanent associate interpreters of the Council of Europe Interpretation Service
  • Proud to be the first Cypriot members of the supreme international body of interpreters AIIC (Association Internationale des Interprètes de Conférence),
  • Members of other international bodies such as ITI (Institute of Translation and Interpreting, UK) , PASYDIS (Panhellenic Association of Conference Interpreters)
  • Service Providers to a long list of institutional, private and international clients at home and abroad (UN, UNICEF, UNESCO, WHO, OSCE, FAO, UNESCO, ILO, ETUC, etc)
  • Accredited trainers on a Masters course in Conference Interpreting at the University of Cyprus
  • A registered  professional association– member of the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry
